Teaser Tuesday – 4 August: Dead Until Dark

teaser-tuesdayIt’s that time of week again for Should Be Reading’s fun meme Teaser Tuesdays.

So how does this work:

  • Grab your current book
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Dead Until DarkToday’s teaser comes from Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris, which I am reading for the Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge hosted over on Beth Fish Reads.

I was afraid I’d never see him again; after all his first visit to Merlotte’s hadn’t exactly been a success. So I was trying to absorb every detail I could; I would treasure this encounter and rehash it for a long, long time.” (Pg 13)

What’s your teaser for this Tuesday? Add to the comments and let me know what you think of that book so far, because I’m looking for some new books to sample!

  1. I really need to read this series! I’ve got a couple of good teasers this week. Here’s a link.

  2. Great teaser! This series was definitely fun (I read the first couple and then sort of drifted to a stop, if you know what I mean). Hope you’re enjoying it!

    Check out my teaser here.

  3. That quote is soooo Sookie, and it captures what I love about her! Here’s mine.

  4. I’ve already read this book. How are you enjoying it?

    • I am enjoying the book and looking forward to reading the rest of them for the challenge.
I also watch the HBO series, so it is filling in some things and nicely building the characters for me as well.
